Brig Ship Purchase & Upgrade

Upgrade from Sloop/Cutter to the Brig for 4 cannons and 250 HP.

Materials needed:

• 200 Wood (gather in 30 min)
• 50 Iron Ingots (smelt in 30 min)
• 500 Gold

Purchase Location: Starting Port or Freeport Shipwright.

First Upgrade: Hull Tier 1 (+50 HP, 50 Wood, 100 Gold).

Time: 90 min total (gathering + crafting + sailing).

Freeport Unlocked & Naval Combat Basics

Sail to Freeport, learn naval combat.

Sailing (30 min):

• Buy Deep Sea Map Fragment (200 Gold) from Cartographer
• Sail to Freeport (15 min, watch for storms)
• Upgrade cannons (2 Standard to 2 Reinforced)

Naval Combat Practice (60 min):

• Use Chain Shot on enemy sails (15s disable)
• Use Round Shot on hulls
• Try boarding (use Smoke Bomb to escape)
• Practice T-Cross positioning

Rewards: Naval Combat skill +1, Achievement: "First Blood at Sea"

Multi-Route Trade Empire

Establish 3 trade routes that run automatically.

The 3 Best Routes:

1. Fish Route: Starting Island → Trader's Bay (200% profit)
2. Gunpowder Route: Pirate Cove → Freeport (300% profit) - need Pirate Allied first
3. Copper Route: Caves → Freeport (200% profit, bulk)

Daily Routine (90 min):

• Route 1: 30 min, +600 Gold
• Route 2: 30 min, +800 Gold
• Route 3: 30 min, +500 Gold

End of day: ~2000 Gold earned, routes memorized.

First Faction: Pirate Recruitment

Join the Pirate Faction for black market access.

How to Join:

1. Reach Neutral with Pirates (1000 rep)
2. Earn rep by helping pirates or attacking naval patrols
3. Fastest: Smuggler's Run quest chain (+500 rep per quest)

Friendly Rewards:

• Access to Pirate's Cove
• 10% discount on black market
• Pirate flag cosmetic

Time: 60-90 min for Friendly rank.

Mid-Game Boss: Soul Eater Encounter

Visit Cursed Swamps for the first time.

Warning: Cursed Swamps require Level 15+ and silver weapons.

Scout Run (45 min):

• Sail to Cursed Swamps (15 min)
• Kill 10 ghost enemies for Silver Ore drops
• Smelt 3 Silver Ingots at Freeport Forge
• Craft Silver Saber (500 Gold)

Ghost Combat Tips: Silver weapons deal +50% damage. Bring 5 Antidotes.

Goal: Reach Level 15, prepare for Week 3.
